Still Ember

Still Ember.

Perilla · Clove · Kumquat — quiet, considered, a distinctive end to the day.

What It Is

A more distinctive botanical profile.

Still Ember contains three identifiable botanicals: perilla, clove, and kumquat. Each is sourced whole and prepared through the Naula method, then bottled fresh or freeze-dried into powder. Nothing else is added.

The Botanicals

Three ingredients, chosen for quiet complexity.

Perilla
Perilla frutescens
Perilla

Deep purple leaf with a layered, subtly anise-like character. Contains anthocyanins — the pigment responsible for its distinctive colour and natural pH reaction when dissolved in water. A familiar ingredient in Vietnamese cuisine.

Clove
Syzygium aromaticum
Clove

Warm, spiced, with a pronounced aromatic presence. Contains eugenol, a naturally occurring compound in the clove bud. Used sparingly — its character is strong.

Kumquat
Citrus japonica
Kumquat

Small citrus with a thin, sweet-bitter peel. Provides brightness and acidity that softens the depth of perilla and clove. Contains citrus flavonoids and vitamin C.

The three are chosen for quiet complexity — comforting, grounding, a considered end to the day.

Some natural color variation can occur in Still Ember. Perilla contains naturally occurring pigments that can respond to differences in the beverage environment, including water conditions — a natural characteristic of the botanical ingredients, not an indication of artificial coloring.

Questions

Still Ember — FAQ

Is Still Ember a tea?

No. TKG is not tea. It is a botanical drink prepared through Naula — a method using water, heat and time, not tea leaves.

Does it contain refined sugar?

No. The fresh drink is sweetened with honey and raw sugar. The freeze-dried powder has no sugar or sweetener added.

Why does the colour sometimes look different?

Perilla contains natural pigments that can shift slightly depending on the water it's mixed with. This is a natural characteristic of the botanical, not a defect.

Where can I buy it?

Fresh drinks will be available at selected locations, to be announced. The freeze-dried powder can be ordered directly — see the Order button below.
