Product & Concept

What is TKG Botanical Blend Powder and how does it differ from regular teas?

+

Regular tea is brewed by soaking dried leaves and discarding the dregs — you only get the water-soluble parts. TKG Botanical Blend Powder is processed using the Naula method: each ingredient is prepared whole, then freeze-dried at sub-zero temperatures to preserve its natural colour, aroma, and botanical character.

When preparing, you dissolve the full powder — nothing is discarded. No preservatives. Named ingredients, transparent preparation.

What is the Naula method?

+

Naula is a preparation discipline — not a brand name. Fresh botanicals are prepared into liquid form through a controlled process where heat, water, and time are adjusted individually for each ingredient. The liquid is then frozen and freeze-dried under vacuum, preserving natural colour, aroma, and botanical character without heat damage.

Is it mandatory to use hot water to bring out the warmth?

+

No. Both products in the Fire Element (Hệ Hỏa) line use warming botanicals — ginger, lemongrass, perilla — ingredients with naturally aromatic and warming character. Both work hot or cold.

  • Brewing hot brings out a fuller aroma and deeper colour.
  • Brewing cold produces a lighter, brighter taste. The botanical character of the ingredients carries through in both.

Can it be prepared hot or cold?

+
  • Hot: Fuller aroma, deeper colour, warming sensation from the botanicals.
  • Cold: Lighter, brighter taste. The botanical character carries through in both.

Scoop 2 teaspoons directly into your cup, pour 100ml water, stir until fully dissolved. No additives needed — the powder is the preparation.

Ingredients

What is in Morning Ember — and why these three?

+

Morning Ember contains three whole botanicals: ginger, lemongrass, and lime. Each is sourced whole, prepared individually through the Naula method, and freeze-dried. Nothing else is added.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
Aromatic root with a sharp, warm character. Contains naturally occurring compounds including gingerols and shogaols. A long-established ingredient in Vietnamese everyday preparation.

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus)
Bright, citrus-forward stalk with a clean aromatic profile. Contains citral and polyphenols. Commonly used in Vietnamese cooking and daily preparation.

Lime (Citrus aurantifolia)
Tart and fresh. Provides natural acidity and vitamin C. Balances the warmth of ginger and the brightness of lemongrass.

The three are chosen together for their complementary aromatic character — bold, direct, warm from the first shot.

What is in Still Ember — and why these three?

+

Still Ember contains three whole botanicals: perilla, clove, and kumquat. Each is sourced whole, prepared individually through the Naula method, and freeze-dried. Nothing else is added.

Perilla (Perilla frutescens)
Deep purple leaf with a layered, subtly anise-like character. Contains anthocyanins — the pigment responsible for its distinctive colour and natural pH reaction when dissolved in water. A familiar ingredient in Vietnamese cuisine.

Clove (Syzygium aromaticum)
Warm, spiced, with a pronounced aromatic presence. Contains eugenol, a naturally occurring compound in the clove bud. Used sparingly — its character is strong.

Kumquat (Citrus japonica)
Small citrus with a thin, sweet-bitter peel. Provides brightness and acidity that softens the depth of perilla and clove. Contains citrus flavonoids and vitamin C.

The three are chosen for quiet complexity — comforting, grounding, a considered end to the day.

Quality & Appearance

Why does the tea powder color vary between batches?

+

Color reflects real ingredients — no dyes or artificial coloring. Freeze-dried ginger and lemongrass give a natural light yellow-green. Perilla gives its characteristic purple-blue. Cloves add warm brown tones.

Slight variations between batches are a sign of authentic raw materials, not a manufacturing defect. TKG does not standardize color with additives; we standardize using the Naula method and independent testing.

Why is there sediment in the cup?

+

The light sediment at the bottom of your cup is pure starch from fresh herbs — a sign of real ingredients, without chemical extraction or industrial filtration. Freeze-drying without extraction ensures you get the experience closest to the original plant.

Why might the color change after brewing?

+

When enjoying products with Perilla and Clove, the water color may change slightly depending on the pH of your water or when combined with other ingredients (like lime or kumquat). This is a natural reaction of Anthocyanin — a precious pigment in purple Perilla leaves.

Proof of clean ingredients: no artificial dyes or chemical stabilizers.
